КОЗАЦЬКІ ЛЕГЕНДИ

Недалеко від Кременця, за його західною околицею розташувалось мальовниче с. Підлісці. На краю села, біля підніжжя гори, стоїть каплиця, яку від віку люди називають Богдановою. Поруч з нею кришталевою водою б'є гірське джерело. А ще вище, вже на схилі пагорба сивіють кам'яні хрести на козацьких могилах. Звідкіля вони? Чому каплицю називають Богдановою? Нині вже годі дізнатися, можна лише гадати, що знайшли собі тут вічний притулок виснажені в боях і померлі від ран козаки і повстанці, що пробивалися на схід після трагедії під Берестечком влітку 1651 року. The Museum’s collection online offers everyone unparalleled access to objects in the collection. This innovative database is one of the earliest and most extensive online museum search platforms in the world.
There are currently 2,335,338 records available, which represent more than 4,000,000 objects. 1,018,471 records have one or more images.

About the database

The British Museum collection database may be unavailable if work is being undertaken. Please note that from 21 July 2017 content is not being added to our online collections database while we perform significant upgrades to the system. When the new systems are turned on, all additional material catalogued during that time will be available.

It presents a history not just of objects, but of the way they have been documented and understood over centuries, and makes this available to the widest possible audience. We aim to ensure that all language used is clearly presented in its historical context. Terms of use of the collection online

Most content in the collection online is published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) licence.
The largest 2D images available on this platform are 750 pixels wide at 72 dpi. For most objects, you can also request high resolution images (with the longest edge at 2,500 pixels, which will appear at a maximum of 21 cm when printed at 300 dpi) for use under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) licence. You will need to register for our free image service with your name, address and email address, and the image will be sent to you as an email attachment.
When available, you may also download 3D photographs of our objects for use under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0)licence. You may also find additional 3D photographs available under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence in the British Museum pages of external sites dedicated to 3D imaging.
